What does Lennie take out of his pocket? Why is George angry?

Lennie takes out a dead mouse from his pocket that he has been petting while walking. George is angry because he doesn't want Lennie to jeopardize their new job by him carrying around dead mice and not behaving.

Lennie takes out a dead mouse of his pocket that he's been playing with while they walk. George responds in throwing the mouse away and he's very angry/ worried that Lennie will stuff this new job up for them by being immature and not behaving.

The thing in Lennies pocket is a dead mouse that he had been patting while they walk. George gets mad at Lennie because he doesn't want him to screw up the new job by carrying around dead animals and being immature.

Lennie had been carrying a mouse for some miles, George finds the mouse and throws it into the weeds beyond the pond but Lennie goes and picks it up. George then finds Lennie picking up the pet mouse and he gives Lennie a talking to about what happens when you try to pet soft things and George said's to Lennie that they were chased out of the last town because Lennie touched a girl's soft dress. Lennie said's to George that he will offer to go and live in a cave but George softens because of what Lennie said's and George said's to Lennie that maybe he can get a puppy to withstand Lennie's petting.

This is not the only mouse Lennie has accidentally killed, a women used to give them to Lennie but soon learned he killed them, so she stopped. |

Lennie pulls out a dead rat that he had placed in his pocket. He placed the rat in his pocket because he wanted something to pet with his thumb while they walked on.

Lennon takes out a dead mouse that was dead from the side of the road but he did get live ones from his Aunt Clara. George was angry because if their boss found out Lennie had a dead mouse and that he wasn't behaving. George threw it across the lake/river and lectured him and when he wasn't looking Lennie ran across it to retrieve it but we didn't realise that George heard him splashing the water and that he had wet feet when he came back across and George threw it across the lake/river again.

George got extremely angry with Lennie, As Lennie pulled a dead mouse from his pocket and George is worried that he could ruin the chance of the job.
