Describe the 'stable buck'. What does the boss use him for?

The stable buck is an African American fellow named Crook. He is given that name on the account of his crooked back when he was kicked by a horse. He's a nice fella and reads alot, but when the boss gets angry, he takes it all out on Crook and gets him to do all the not-so-good jobs around the place.

The 'stable buck' is the African American guy named 'Crook'. He got that name because his back is crooked after getting kicked in the back by a horse. When the boss gets mad he takes it out on the African American & he makes him do all the bad jobs that no one on the ranch wants to do.
