What does Lennie tell Crooks? How does Crooks respond?

Lennie tells Crook about him and George's dream of living off the fatta the land. He also tells Crook how they travel together and that all the other men are out in town and it's just Lennie, Crook and Candy on the ranch. Crook starts to confuse Lennie by asking him what if questions and poor Lennie is getting muddled up and scared because Crook said that they'd send Lennie to the nut house and tie him up like a dog if George wasn't there.

Lennie tells crook that the plan was for him,George and Candy to get a place and a farm. But crooks just laughs at the idea of seeing that happen.

As Lennie gets more and more confused, Crooks starts to taunt Lennie saying 'what if he never comes back,' of corse refering to George. Leonine then starts to doubt himself, though he doesn't really know why, and just wants George back. |

Lennie tells Crooks about George, Candys and his dream of getting a land of their own. Crooks thinks his crazy because he believes nothing like thats could ever happen to three men, especially if they are working on a ranch.
