The boys worked up a frenzy around him, pretending he was the pig. They beat him to death and tore and bit his skin. Simon was too exhausted from the time he spent in the woods (how he spent the day unable to move and then how clumsily he stumbled away) and all he could do was scream in pain. All he did was come to tell the boys not to fear and they killed him because of their frenzied bloodlust.

The boys completely lost control of themselves in the scene and Simon was killed in the process. He was simply coming to tell them that there was no beast at all to be killed. Simon had always believed the beast was the boys themselves and this clarifies what Simon knew all along.

How do the boys come to kill Simon? Explain. Simon is tired and weak from his trip in the woods, and he staggers towards the mountain in a daze. He realises that the dead parachutist was what the boys thought was the beast and hurried to Jack's feast to prove their was no beast all along. The boys at the feast were in a frenzied state, chanting and dancing in several separate circles along the beach.mEven Ralph and Piggy were swept away by the excitement. The boys then see a shadowy figure creep out of the forest, Simon. The do not recognise him in their wild state however. Shouting that he is the beast, the boys descend upon Simon and start to tear him apart with their bare hands and teeth. Simon tries desperately to explain what has happened and to tell them who he is, but he trips and falls over the rocks onto the beach. The boys fall on him violently and kill him.

The boys were dancing and chanting becuase they were exited about killing and eating another pig. Simon, who was very tired and weak from his faint, came to tell the boys how there is not beast. The boys got scared and confused thinking Simon was the beast so they stab him and beat him until death.

When they first arrived the were afraid at the thought of killing a pig and now the reaction of killing a pig caused the death of a human life.

It is unfortunate to see how even Piggy, who is one of the most civilised, was dancing and chanting with the others. It really shows how savage all the boys have turned.

How do the boys come to kill Simon? Explain. The boys kill Simon when he stumbles into their circle of beating and killing to tell them that the beast is not what they think. They "screamed, struck, bit, tore" at Simon, who they believed was the beast because they were blinded by their bloodlust. Simon was left dead, his blood "staining the sand." The boys are now too wild and primitive to recognise an answer, a salvation for their fear.

The boys are so eager to kill, that even if they did recognise Simon, they would not try to stop. When they kill Simon, they kill their only hope for safety from the 'beast'.

Simon is tired andweak from his trip through the woods and escaped through the clearing, crawling within an inch of his life to inform the boys that the 'beast' was actually a dead parachutist and the boys were the real beast. The boys mistake Simon as the beast, and savagely dance around Simon. Simon escapes to the edge of the water and passes out, and the boys from the feast are ordered to leave the 'beast' alone. Simon is washed away to sea in the middle of the night.

The boys are blinded by there bloodlust, and Simon is tired to fight back when they start pretending he is a pig and tearing him apart with there hands and teeth. Simon was coming back to tell the boys that the beast wasn't real but he ended up being killed because of the boys growing savagness

The boys got scared and confused thinking Simon was the beast so they stab him and beat him until death. Simon's body is left by the sea, ready to be washed away when the tide comes in. This will mean the boys will not realise they did not actually kill Simon instead of the beast.

After Simon's ordeal with the dead parachutist and his fainting, he would not have been able to defend himself from the boys. The boys were to concerned with the killing and the blood that they didn't stop to think about the "beast" sounding and looking human.

I also think the boys were too caught up in the moment and overwhelmed by the killing that they didn't stop to think about what they were doing at all. It was just a tragic event to happen to Simon.
