What signs of stress and fear can we see in Ralph, Piggy, and Samneric's behavior in this chapter?

We can see that the boys are stressed in the way they recount their experiences from the night before. They seem fearful when they make noises and wrestle each other in their sleep and when they are attacked by Jack and his savages.

What signs of stress and fear can we see in Ralph, Piggy, and Samneric's behavior in this chapter? At the start of the chapter, we see Ralph and Piggy scared of what they had done the night before to Simon. Ralph especially, as he thinks that they murdered Simon but Piggy, uncharacteristically, makes excuses and explains how it wasn't murder. We also see them all fearful when they hear Jack and his boys outside the shelter about to attack. At first they think it is the "beast" but then afterwards, they realise it was only Jack and the boys.

What signs of stress and fear can we see in Ralph, Piggy, and Samneric's behavior in this chapter? The first signs of stress and fear we see from the boys are from the rather explicit memory of the night before, when they boys had helped kill Simon. They are obviously stressed as they had killed one of their friends, but do not have the guts to own up to it. We can also see fear when Jack and the hunters attack the shelters. They were beating each other up but Ralph, Sam and Eric couldn't see a thing.

What signs of stress and fear can we see in Ralph, Piggy, and Samneric's behavior in this chapter? The signs of stress that can be seen in Piggy, Ralph and Samneric's is the way they recall the night before. The way the boys had accidentally turned a hand on themselves. They had wrestled each other rather then their attackers. Perhaps this signifies that rather then it being accidental the boys actually seek battle. It as if they were always poised attack.

They are also scared when they hear sounds outside of the shelter and they think it is the beast but it later turns out to be Jack and his boys.

They seem fearful when they make noises and wrestle each other in their sleep and when they are attacked by Jack and his savages. They are also feeling guilty about Simon's murder and since they were attacking each other in their sleep it could show that they're also feeling paranoid.
