Why do you think Samneric decide to join Jack's tribe? Why do they tell Jack where Ralph is hidden? I don't think that Sam and Eric had much of a choice whether they should join the tribe or not as it is basically the difference between surviving or being killed by the rest of the tribe. Samneric might have told Jack where Ralph was hidden to gain Jack's trust or because they were tortured into doing so. They may have believed the tribe had a better chance of surviving if Ralph were not there or that maybe Ralph could be spared if the tribe found him soon. Samneric would have wanted to do anything they could to protect themselves even if it meant betraying Ralph.

Obviously Samneric wouldn't have wanted to intentionally put anyone in danger, but would risk their own safety for Ralph's. Whatever their reasons, I'm sure the betrayal was hard on both ends.

Sam and Eric joined Jacks tribe becuase they had no other choice. If they refused Roger or Jack would have killed them and maybe even tortured them. They tell Jack where Ralph is hidden becuase they were scared and were getting hurt.

Why do you think Samneric decide to join Jack's tribe? Why do they tell Jack where Ralph is hidden? This is situation was forced upon Samneric. They could either join the tribe and provide Jack with the information he wanted, or die. They would possibly be tortured or harmed if they didn't tell everyone where Ralph was hiding. Samneric may have not wanted to cause harm to Ralph, they just want to survive.

Why do you think Samneric decide to join Jack's tribe? Why do they tell Jack where Ralph is hidden? When Samneric join the tribe, they don't do it because they want to. They are unwillingly forced too as if they didn't, they would probably be killed. Even if they didn't get killed, it would be hard for them to survive on their own because fruit is scarce now and Jack provides meat for his tribe. They also probably didn't want to tell Jack where Ralph was going to hide - they are still loyal to Ralph. I imagine that they would have been threatened and tortured to get this information. They would want to save themselves over saving Ralph.

I agree, Samneric wouldn't be able to survive on their own as fruit is scarce and would have basically had no choice other than to go with Jack's tribe if they wanted to look after themselves.

The joined Jacks group because they new if they didn't they would certainly die to the wildlife or to Jacks group. They tell jack where he is to maybe gain Jacks trust to them.

Because everyone apart from the twins had no close connection with Ralph, the group would be more suspicious of the twins betraying them than anyone else. If Ralph was caught, the twins were probably fearful for their involvement with Ralph and the consequences from it.

Ralph could also hear one of the twins shout out in pain. this could indicate that Jack was torturing them until they told him where Ralph was.

Why do you think Samneric decide to join Jack's tribe? Why do they tell Jack where Ralph is hidden? Sam and Eric do not have much choice in the matter of joining Jack's tribe or staying with Ralph. They are basically forced to stay in the group as Jack hurts them and tortures them. It really is a matter between life and death for them. This is also the reason why they gave away the whereabouts of Ralph, as Jack tortures them until they tell the hunters.

Why do you think Samneric decide to join Jack's tribe? Why do they tell Jack where Ralph is hidden? I think Samneric decided to join Jack's tribe because it was either that or die. And their alliance to Ralph isn't strong enough to die for. Also, as we have seen, anyone will do almost anything to survive. Like in the second world war. Jewish people would strip their friends and family of their clothes, their items and lead them into the gassing chambers, and burn their bodies afterwards. These people joined in to the murder of millions upon millions of people, just to save their own hides. And I think that is disgusting.
