Why do you think Samneric decide to join Jack's tribe? Why do they tell Jack where Ralph is hidden? Samneric didn't have much choice when it came to joining jacks tribe as it is the only thing that is feeding them or them becoming the feed. Samneric just want to survive and jack can offer them the chance to do so. Samneric reveal Ralph's hiding place as they are tortured painfully until they tell. Life has become more important than saving Ralph from his sought after death. |

Sam and Eric joined Jacks tribe becuase they had no other choice. If they refused Roger or Jack would have killed them and maybe even tortured them. They tell Jack where Ralph is hidden becuase they were scared and were getting hurt. Or if they told Jack where ralph was they could of got his trust, so that is why they told him. Yes that is a good point and I think that they thought it wouldn't have been worth protecting Ralph for the pain |

They are basically forced to stay in the group as Jack hurts them and tortures them. It really is a matter between life and death for them. This is also the reason why they gave away the whereabouts of Ralph, as Jack tortures them until they tell the hunters. Sam and Eric don't see much hope to Ralph's survival, and therefore aren't strong enough to put up a fight. While Jack is a cruel leader, it is better to be under his rule than side with Ralph. |

They tell Jack where Ralph is hidden because they are being tortured by Jack and they want to survive. If they had not of told Jack, he may have killed them. |

It was more of a threat, and maybe they felt they would be safe from the boys if they were one of them. The boys end up telling Jack where he is hidden because protecting themselves against jack is important. if ralph had been found where sam and eric say he wasn't hiding, they would've been killed and they had to think about themselves even if it meant harming Ralph. |

They gave up Ralph's location to Jack because they were again being hurt by Roger and DONT have much resistance for physical pain since they are just boys. |

I think that in a way, Samneric chose their own wellbeing over Ralph's life, which is understandable since they are so young. |

Samneric decide to join Jacks tribe as they knew it was their key to survival. They admitted defeat to Jack's tribe and decided to join so they could not be attacked again. They tell Jack where Ralph is hidden as they were tortured into doing so, Ralph hears their screams the night he spends in the bush.
