1. Chrisstoff is a very reserved character. He does not like attention nor being in the publics eye. 2. Trumans life is exposed to the whole world, not by choice. Everybody knows everything about Truman 3. Chrisstoff is willingly exposing someone else's life to the world but is very strict about keeping his own privacy. This may be because he wants to avoid any hate amongst the audience. That sounds great! Yes, I agree, it's ironic that Christof doesn't want to be exposed or in the public's attention, yet he is fine with broadcasting Truman's entire life to the world. Christof may want to avoid hate from the audience, but if the show does so well, why wouldn't he want the attention and recognition?

1. Christof is seen as the public eye, the person that watches over everyone .
2. Truman was born into the spotlight and didn't really ask for it and was not asked for his consent. His whole life, from the beginning right through to adulthood had been filmed.
3. Christof is keeping anonymous because maybe he doesn't want people like sylvia to go and attack him.

1. Christof is portrayed as being out of the public eye. He is always in the "office" doing his work and never interacts with the public directly. 2. Christof has given Truman a life that is always in the spotlight. Truman never gave content to be a part of the show and Christof still thrust this upon him. 3. Even though Christof is a reserved character, he created a life for Truman that is always in the spotlight. This juxtaposition makes the viewer question Christofs thought process and what he wants in this life. Your points are really thought about and give a deep insight into the movie. I really like how they are all very strong points. They are all in a very good order as well.

Homework instructions: Post a three point plan (your three main ideas) for TWO of the essay topics in the 'The Truman Show Plans' section of the forum. For the other two topics you must reply to someone else's plan with constructive feedback. Remember, when planning ask yourself why and how? Look at the key words of the topic to see if you can form three main ideas based on those. Perhaps look at both sides of the topic and then expand on one of those sides, or add a third side. Ask yourself, if I was to respond to this topic in a three stage conversation, what would those three stages be? Here is one of the four topics: It is suggested that Christof is someone who likes to stay out of the public eye and guards his privacy. Discuss the moral issues surrounding Christof, as the director and creator of “The Truman Show”, forcing Truman’s life into the public arena without his consent. 1) Crtistof is very private and out of the public eye. Everyone is very surprised when Cristof agrees to do an interview for viewers. 2) His morals are to be debated as he created a perfect little world for Truman without his consent and never realised what kind of effect that may have on Truman. 3) Cristof allows the entire world to be a part of Truman's life and invade his privacy, however he won't even let the world know much about himself.

Your plan is quite good but another point to add would be that Christof does sort of be in the public eye because he talk's to reporter's about the show so he sort of get's attention through that medium. You can add why chrissof is so conservative and a background character

1. Christof's life is very private, not on show to anyone, only being revealed during things such as interviews. 2. However, without Truman knowing, his whole life is completely public, seen by everyone. 3. Christof allows Truman's life to be seen by all without consent, whilst keeping his own privacy. these are really good points but also christof is obsessed with how truman runs his life

I feel like the issue of consent in the second paragraph could be something very easily expanded on, thus making it a good long paragraph. Also wow, nice us of vocabulary: 'juxtaposition'

1. Cristof portrays as the anti-social type, always working and staying out of the publics eye 2. Cristof had no right but he still thrusted upon him the spotlight and fame of being in the show 3. Because of Cristof, Truman has no privacy
