Calpurnia is the African American maid who cares for the Finch's and does the housework which includes cleaning and cooking. She also adopts jobs which would be for a mother such as telling Scout off for yelling at Walter Cunningham. She is also the one who taught Scout to write suggesting she has more of a position in the house compared to other maids in Maycomb.

Calpurnia is an African-American 'help' in the Finch family. Calpurnia acts as a mother-figure for Jem and Scout, and she is also the cook and disciplinarian for the family. Atticus treats her as part of the family and trusts her with everything.

Atticus treats her as part of the family and trusts her with everything. I believe she also plays an important role in teaching the children what the right thing is to do and she always has something wise to say. She is a very important character as Tyller has said.

Calpurnia is an African-American person who is like a mother figure in Gem and Scout's life. She teaches Scout and Gem politeness and the right way to do things in their society. She cooks their meals. Addicus respects and trusts her, this isn't common in this time of discrimination to people of colour.

Calpurnia's role is that she is an African American maid who looks after the Finch's family. She does the housework and also takes a motherly position towards the children. Atticus trusts Calpurnia and treats her equally and doesn't discriminate against her because of her race.

She is treated equally amongst the family and is shown respect and trust.

Calpurnia helps look after the Finch family, she is also a cook there. Calpurnia had this job to take care of scout and jem as their mother had passed away. Calpurnia is much like family towards them as well.

She is an African American maid in the Finch family who helps out mostly with the cooking and cleaning. She also plays a big role in helping the children throughout their childhood as she teaches them the right thing.
