What approach does the Cunningham family take regarding their poverty and why?

The Cunninghams just deal with their poverty. They won't take anything from anyone, such as money, if they can't return it. That's why Walter Cunningham wouldn't take Miss Caroline's quarter for food as he wouldn't be able to pay her back.

The Cunningham's also don't believe in receiving 'charity' as thats how they have their family values to just get by alone with out asking for extra help.

Receiving money and other gifts just because people feel sorry for them attacks their pride.

the cunninghams accept their poverty and won't take help unless absolutely necessary and when they take help they pay it back in game and food like when atticus was their lawyer.

The Cunninghams are a poor family who will not take money, if they can't return it. This is why Walter Cunningham wouldn't take Miss Caroline's quarter for food as he wouldn't be able to pay her back.

The Cunninghams accept that they are poorer than most families and do their best to save money and have no debt. This is why they do not take anything given to them from others.

The Cunninghams are a rather poor family and will not take money from anyone else unless it is required. Hence why Walter would refuse to take the money from Miss Caroline.
