What does Mr. Nathan Radley know about the intruders in his garden? Why does Miss Stephanie refer to a “negro” over whose head Mr. Nathan has fired?

Mr. Nathan knows that the person who was intruding his garden had white skin and refers to the trespasser as "a white nigger". Miss Stephanie probably referred to the intruder as a negro because they are at the bottom of the social hierarchy meaning that they will usually be the ones blamed for petty crimes such as trespassing.

Mr Nathan only knows that the person who intruded his property was of white skin, although Miss Stephanie automatically jumped to the conclusion that it was a negro. As they are always blamed even if the evidence doesn't point to that direction.

It appears that Mr. Nathan Radley doesn't really know anything about the intruders in his garden. Miss Stephanie refer to a “negro” over whose head Mr. Nathan has fired because she hates black colour people.

Mr. Nathan doesn't know much about the intruder besides the fact they were white. Miss Stephanie refers to a negro as they are not well treaded and are blamed for anything because of their skin colour.

Mr. Nathan doesn't know much about the intruder besides the fact they were white. Miss Stephanie refers to a negro as they are not well treaded and are blamed for anything because of their skin colour. This shows the clear segregation of the black and white people and the unfair society at this time.
