George reminds Lennie of the hiding place, so that I case Lennie was to get into trouble again at the ranch, Lennie would come to the hiding place and hide until George came.

George reminds Lennie of the hiding place, so that I case Lennie was to get into trouble again at the ranch, Lennie would come to the hiding place and hide until George came. After George tells Lennie that he isn't to cause trouble at their new job, like he 'done in Weed', George asks Lennie if he think he can remember exactly where they are, so, that incase of emergency, Lennie has somewhere safe to hide and wait until George arrives. George tells Lennie, 'if you just happen to get in trouble like you always done before, I want you to come right here and hide in the brush.'

George also threatens Lennie that he won't tent the rabbits when they get their own land.

George encourages Lennie to remember where their hiding place is because he is aware of the small mistakes that Lennie does that may look like bad behaviour, so if something goes wrong they have a place where only those to are aware of, to go and be safe.

George remind Lennie about the hiding place by the river because if Lennie gets in trouble, he should stay there so that George can help him.

George tells him to go hide in the bush by the river incase Lennie gets them in trouble again and that's where he should go until George comes and collects him. George makes Lennie repeat where they are a few times so Lennie doesn't forget.

Just in case Lennie and Georgeget into more trouble like they did in Weed, George reminds Lennie and makes him remember to hide in the brush by the river if he got in any trouble, and then George will come get him.
