Explain what Atticus means by telling Jem not to let his discovery “inspire” him to “further glory”? Is there any reason why Jem might now do as his father says?

Atticus says this to Jem as he doesn't want him to do things to bother Boo even though he has done this kind favour.

when Atticus was telling jem not to let his discoveries to Inspire him to further glory because Atticus didn't want him to disturb Boo Radley anymore, as boo had done all of these nice things for him. so jem would now listen to what His father say as a return.

Atticus says this to Jem as he doesn't want him to do things to bother Boo even though he has done this kind favour. He might listen to his father now as he knows that Boo isn't a horrible, scary person. The only thing that might stop him from listening is his curiosity.
