Atticus believes that "nigger lover" doesn't mean anything because he knows that he is doing the right thing for Tom Robinson and he is always loving of everyone

Atticus does not seem bothered by these stupid name callings as he knows that he is doing the right thing by standing by Tom Robinson and that there is no truth to what they are saying. He doesn't 'love' the 'black' people but instead he treats them equally so I agree that he should continue to not think twice about such comments. I agree with Nat as Atticus has quite a resilient and persistent personality and he doesn't let petty names get to him.

Atticus doesn't think much of people calling him "Nigger lover" as he believes everyone is equal. He doesn't really care about people calling him that.

I strongly agree with all the statements above. For Atticus, the term ‘Nigger-Lover’ “is just one of those terms that don’t mean anything….ignorant, trashy people use it when they think somebody’s favouring Negroes over and above themselves”. Atticus also added “I do my best to love everybody” and he doesn’t think it is an insult to be called what other people think as a bad name. Therefore, the term does not affect him at all because he follows his conscience while still respecting other peoples for their opinions.
I think the people in Maycomb were using this term to insult Atticus but it doesn’t impact him. I strongly agree that people should not be affected by what other people think/say because it is more important to do what you believe is right and stick to your principles rather than following the wrong crowd sometimes.

He believes that "nigger-lover" is just one of those insults that mean nothing just like "snot-nose." Atticus knows that it reflects more on the giver of the insult than the person being insulted.

In Atticus's point of view, 'nigger-lover' is a stupid word that doesn't mean anything and it's a word to describe someone. Atticus is not bothered by this name calling because he believes what he is doing is right.

Atticus does not like the derogatory term though he will stand by it as he does not care about it.

Atticus does not find 'nigger lover' offensive because black and white people are equal to him.
