From Dill running away we learn that he doesn't feel loved by his family and prefers to come stay with Jem and Scout as he feels more loved and that he has a blonging. He seems to be a lost child as he is always hanging out with the other children that he isn't a part of their family.

We learn that Dill is a very smart kid and knows how to get to Maycomb by himself. We also learn that Dill doesn't really feel that he belongs with his family.

We learn that Dill is lost and wants the company of others like Jem and Scout as he feels a little out of place at home and would rather be in Maycomb.

He seems to be a lost child as he is always hanging out with the other children that he isn't a part of their family. We also learn that he has an abusive father, and his mother and step-father ignore him. He wants to parent a child with Scout as he believes they will be better parents.

We lean that he feels more welcome and comforted with Scout and Jem. He feels as though he belongs somewhere.

He also feels neglected by his mother and stepfather as they are away most of the time and then retreat to their own room once to return home. It is also be chase his new father was not able to make a boat with him due to work.

Dill runs away because he thinks he is not important for his parents. He seems to be sick of his new dad who never keeps the promise. Another possibility is because he is sick of his parents buying his love rather than caring about him and spending more time with him. "that wasn't it, he-they just wasn't interested in me." Dill said.
