Mayella was attacked by someone who mostly used his left hand, and that he also put both hands around her throat. In this case it shows that it wasn't Tom Robinson because he can't use his right hand.

Atticus shows that the person who hurt Mayella has to be right handed as she was hurt on her left side.

Atticus questions Sheriff Tate about the injuries that Tom Robinson was accused of committing on Mayella Ewell. He finds that Mayella developed a black eye on her right side of her face, more bruises on her right arm and defiant finger marks on her gullet, determining that the offender had to have used their left hand dominantly. This is inaccurate to convict Tom Robinson as the offender when he is enable to use his left hand for many years. This is very valuable evidence that Tom is innocent, yet because of prejudice and racial discrimination he is convicted guilty.

Yes, I agree with Maddylarder, he was convinced as guilty because of all the lies people had said about him because he was different and wasn't treated with equality. As the injuries were explained Atticus was convinced that all of this information that mayellya ewell had said is all false.

Atticus shows that the person who hurt Mayella has to be right handed as she was hurt on her left side. It shows that it wasn't Tom Robinson as he's right hand doesn't work

Atticus shows us that the person who had hurt Mayella would have to be right handed person due to her being hurt on her left side and Tom's right hand is not working.

The cross examination with Sherriff Tate shows that the person who hurt Mayella was left handed. This was determined by the injuries she received. Tom Robinson did not have used of his left hand. These evidence show he could not of done it.
