Mayella is a lot like her father as she doesn't take responsibility for her actions that lead to disaster, instead (exactly like her father) she places the blame on someone other than herself. This includes the racial discrimination excuses they confront in court as a defense against herself.

Mayella is very like her father as she is a racist liver who blames others for her own mistakes. She does however try to make life better for her younger siblings, which is unlike her father because he doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself.

Mayella is exactly like her father. Like father, like daughter she has never been taught to take responsibility for her own actions, instead she lies. In court it shows that she lies, is racist and doesn't care who she hurts.
