How does Mayella react to Atticus's politeness? Is she used to people being polite? Why/why not?

Mayella had never heard a kind and nice talked before So when Atticus asked her politely, she thought that he's making fun of her.

Mayella is uncomfortable with being treated with politeness and asks the judge to make Atticus stop referring to her as ma'me and miss. She has rarely heard it in regards to her own names as she comes from a low-moral/mannered family.

She has rarely heard it in regards to her own names as she comes from a low-moral/mannered family. This showed what sort of up bringing Mayella had. She had no idea of what to make of respect and kindness because she had never heard it from her parents.
