Atticus believes everyone is equal, it doesn't matter if they have black or white skin. he wants to set a good role model for his children and does this by not discrimination people of coloured skin and shows respect to them even if they don't show it back. He goes against societies 'rules' and shows people that they are the same as the rest of us. He took Tom's case even though the likelihood of it succeeding was low, he wouldn't have said no as it was a way to show they aren't bad and their the same as us.

Explain, in your own words, Atticus's views on people's being equal. Atticus believes that every man is created equal, if born 'black or white, it doesn't mean a thing.

Atticus's views on equality to people is that Atticus thinks that people are people they are no different from any other weather they are different in skin colour or gender, equality should be respected to each and every person. His views are very important.

Atticus thinks that everyone is equal but there are factors which can influence how one might be different such as intelligence and baking skills. He still feels as though all people are equal no matter what gender, race or age.

He believes that everyone is equal and so he treats everyone the same too. he also doesn't believe in that people should be treated differently based on the colour of their skin and that everyone deserves to be treated with respect.

Atticus believes everyone is equal so he treats everyone the same way He wants all to be equal and be treated equally as they deserve and wants to make a difference in his society's ways of treatment. Atticus himself treats everyone as a friend or even family. In his eyes, there is no difference, they are the same.
