Provide evidence that Mayella planned to seduce Tom and integrate a quote into your answer. I believe Mayella probably thought that it was an easy situation; she might have thought that because Tom was a black man, that he would be flattered at her attentions, and be all for it. There was no possible way a black man would reject her. So, she subtlety asks more and more for him to come in. She tries to keep him in, shown by when Tom says; " Well, I said I best be goin', I couldn't do nothin' for her, an' she said, oh, yes I could.". She also instigates the kiss by saying; "she'd never kissed a grown man before an' she might as well kiss (Tom)."

I also think that it was evident that she had been planning to seduce Tom since she had been saving up nickels for a year to send the children into town so she could have the place to herself to invite Tom inside.

As Mayella consistently asked for small favours throughout his passings, which then lead to her constantly asking for more. She had mentioned how it "took me a slap year to save seb’m nickels," which meant she had planned this for a year to get the kids out of the house, and lead to the house being empty. This made for the perfect opportunity for her to seduce Tom when the time had come. This lead to him being invited in and so on.

That makes a lot of sense. Yet she discounted Mr Ewell.

I definitely agree that through her saving nickels for quite some time to send the children to get ice-cream certainly suggests she had planned to be with Tom. I also think she is almost desperate for attention from someone and Tom is as good as any person because he feels sorry for her and helps her around the house.

There is evidence to support the claim that Mayella planned to seduce Tom. First of all, she knew the laws and the communities view on black people so she may have thought that Tom would want that kind of a relationship with her as it is very rare and unheard of. She also kept asking him to do things for her when they were not needed, which leads one to think that she was planning on secuding him for a while as she continually invited him onto the property. She also said that "she'd never kissed a grown man before..." So this was a new and exciting experience for her which could have been a reason for her plan to seduce Tom.

I think it is a good point that Mayella had planned this out for a very long time. She had thought about the details and was obviously very keen on the idea of seducing Tom.

Provide evidence that Mayella planned to seduce Tom and integrate a quote into your answer. Mayella has been planning to seduce Tome for a long time as shown by her constant asking of small favours. She obviously knew that what she wanted to do was wrong and I think that is why she waited so long to actually try and seduce him. Once she had her chance and was alone with him in the house she kissed him and even told him to, "kiss me back, nigger".
