What does Jem expect the verdict to be? Does Atticus think the same? Why/why not?

jem thinks that tom robinson is going to be seen a innocent because he think that atticus did so well and because the evidence was obvious to him. atticus thinks that tom robinson will be convicted because he knows that it is a lost cause form the start as every white jury will take the word of a white man over a black man, no matter the evidence

As Jem saw his Atticus defending Tom he had said that atticus had won the case. Both atticus' sand jem's verdict are very different as Atticus wasn't positive and Jem was.

Atticus always believed that Tom Robinson would be found guilty because a white jury would never find a black man innocent. Jem thought that Tom would be found innocent because he listened to the evidence.

Jem believed that Tom Robinson would be found innocent due to Atticus's court case speech. Jem, only being 10 years old, is sheltered from the racial discrimination of his town. He does not understand the prejudice of "a white mans word over a 'black' mans". Atticus, however, knew that he had lost the case due to the racist white jury.

Even though Atticus knows that Tom will be convicted, he is enlightened by the fact that instead of the jury only taking a couple of minutes to come up with he verdict they took a few hours.

Jem expected that Tom would be found inoccent. Atticus new he wouldn't win the fight as a black mans word means nothing to a white man

Atticus always believed that Tom Robinson would be found guilty because a white jury would never find a black man innocent. Jem thought that Tom would be found innocent because he listened to the evidence. Not only that but he was naive thinking that the jury would go by the evidence if it was against an African American in court, Jem was to innocent and was brought up to think that the colour of their skin didn't matter but that didn't count for everyone else.
