What does Reverend Sykes' instruction to Scout to stand up show about his people's attitude toward Atticus?

This shows that his people's attitude is genuine and that they respect and are extremely grateful for what Atticus has done for Tom Robinson.

As Reverend Sykes told scout to stand up to see her father, the people really sees what Atticus does for Tom robinson and how Atticus is a good person. Atticus Is also very considerate and treat others with equality.

Atticus Is also very considerate and treat others with equality. I agree with this as Atticus shows how he care for all people as equals. He shows this especially by defending Tom Robinson in court.

This shows that they are very grateful for all Atticus had done for Tom Robinson. t is very clear that the black community of Maycomb has no greater white friend in town than Atticus Finch.

This shows that the black community respect Atticus as he is trying his best to help Tom Robinson when many white lawyers would not. He wants Scout to see this respect so she can have a better understanding that what Atticus is doing deserves the standing of witnesses.
