Although Atticus did not want his children in court, he defends Jem's right to know what has happened. Explain, in your own words, Atticus' reasons for this.

Atticus believed that Jem should be allowed to know what occurred in the trial as he was raised in Maycomb County since birth. Because of this, his father thinks he had the right to know since it was regarding those in Maycomb.
