What is "circumstantial evidence"? What has it got to do with Tom's conviction?

Circumstantial evidence is something you see or hear as well as something you can touch. It has got to do with Tom's conviction as there was only circumstantial evidence present, which isn't enough to convict him as direct evidence is needed although due to his race the judge did not call upon this neither did the jury.

Tom's convictions were circumstantial. Tom wasn't convicted straight away as what Natashabablis said the evidence was present. Then Atticus found out who had the courage to least the conviction became a slower matter to the jury it was Walter Chunningham.

Circumstantial evidence is evidence which may allow a judge or jury to deuce a certain fact from others which have been proven. This has to do with toms conviction because It was only circumstantial but due to prejudice regarding his colour was convicted anyway.

Even though there was cold hard evidence that Tom Robinson was incapable to abuse Ms Ewell, he was convicted anyway due to 'circumstantial evidence' that the colour of his skin was the reasoning.

It's evidence that a jury can't base their decision on e.g. a finger print, it could've been placed their a couple of years ago so the jury has to have evidence to support the fact that the finger print was in fact from the person who committed the crime. It TKAM the jury only had the evidence of a white persons testimony, not any direct evidence to support it.
