Why should the reader not be surprised about the identity of the children’s rescuer?

The reason that the reader might not be surprised that Boo was the rescuer is because he was the person who watches and comforts the children in all aspects.

The reason that the reader might not be surprised that Boo was the rescuer is because he was the person who watches and comforts the children in all aspects. Even though Boo Radley is depicted as a 'monster', he still seems to look after (keep an eye out) for Jem, Scout and Dill. This may not be surprising that Boo Radley was the children's rescuer because he is in actual fact a very caring man.

The reader should not be surprised about the rescuer because as they had already noticed that boo really liked Jem and scout and gave the presents in the tree so the viewer had seen how nice boo is.
