What do you think Scout means when she says that it would be like shooting a mockingbird?

Atticus believes that Jem killed Bob Ewell, but Mr Tate tells Atticus that “Jem never stabbed Bob Ewell” and that "Bob Ewell fell on his knife and killed himself." As sheriff, Mr Tate decides that Boo Radley saved two children's lives from a dangerous man, and that he doesn't deserve anymore attention. Atticus asks Scout if she understands, she tells Atticus "Well, it’d be sort of like shootin‘ a mockingbird, wouldn’t it?” What Scout means by this comment is that Boo Radley is like a mockingbird, he left his house only to help others and therefore does not deserve to suffer any pain or torment.

I agree with the above, Boo Radley only left his nest (home) to help others just like a mockingbird leaving its nest.

Scout knows that he is innocent and feels that killing an innocent person would be like killing a mockingbird

You wouldn't kill a mockingbird for helping others.
