What happened to Judge Taylor and what's the significance of this?

Judge Taylor heard a "scratching noise...from the rear of the house." He went to see what it was and a shadow was lurking in the corner of the yard. So, Judge Taylor went back inside, but this time with a shotgun in his lap. So, nothing too bad although Bob was making his presence known but caused no later issues.

Bob just wants to make his presents felt because of his reputation being ruined in court. |
