How is Curley's wife either responsible or not responsible for the incidents that occur to her in the barn?

Curleys wife is wholly responsible for the incidents that happened to her in the barn. She came in looking for someone to talk to and played Lennie because he was vulnerable. She agreed with him about liking to touch soft things, and led him on to touch her hair because she said it was soft and offered for him to do so.

I agree with Cass, as Curley's wife knows Lennie's situation and instead of talking to him and trying to let him let go, she just screams, scaring him more. |

Curlys wife is partly responsible for the incident that occurred in the barn. She shouldn't of been walking around and going to see the men when she knows Curly doesn't agree with her doing it and she is already seen as a tart. Curlys wife wasn't aware of what Lennie was capable of and what he suffers from, she thought it would of just been like sitting in the stable with any of the other men. She shouldn't of gone and sat so close to Lennie because she is married but know that Lennie would react like that because she is always locked in her house. It was both Curlys wife and Lennies fault.

But since Curlys wife is always in her house, she didn't understand how strong Lennie was and what he was capable of, yes she came to the conclusion that Lennie is who put Curlys arm in a sling and killing someone is different. |

Curley's wife is partly responsible to what happened in the barn. But at the same time, she isn't responsible to the incident. She did want to talk to someone because she always in the house.
