When George asks his favour of Candy, what do you feel that his plan is and why?

George asks Candy to 're-discover' Curley's wife in the barn, whilst George is seen to be in the Bunkhouse, in order to prevent any of the workers at the ranch accusing him of being 'in on it.' George asks, ' I'm going to go into the bus house. Then, in a minute, you come out and tell the other guys about her, and I'll come along and make it as if I've never seen her. Will you do that? So the guys don't think I'm in on it?' Luckily for George, Candy agrees to do it, probably out of a little pity for George's situation. George doesn't want Lennie to get hurt, as he knows that he never would have done this out of spite it anger.

I think Candy also agreed because he was one of the characters who were nicer towards George and Lennie when they first arrived.

His plan is for himself not be under the bus as well as Lennie as at the end of the day George just wants to work he doesn't want to jeopardize his money intake. He also doesn't want to be accused of being part of Lennie's 'plan' to kill Curley's wife and have to deal with Curley and the punishment.
