When Percival Wemys Madison starts crying, the other boys are reminded of their own personal sorrows, and many of the littluns begin to cry in sympathy, sharing in a sorrow that was universal. However, Maurice cheers up the boys by crying out, "Look at me!" and pretending to fall over.

When Percival Wemys Madison cries, what feelings does he unleash in the others? Percival cries when he recalls his previous address and phone number when introducing himself to the other boys. This caused the rest of the littleuns to remember their own deep sorrows and sadness and soon they were all crying, some louder than Percival. Maurice then stops them by saying "Look at me" and pretending to fall over. This scene possibly suggests that the boys are not as strong as they appear and shows a strange behaviour between being strong and ready to kill a pig, to crying for their old lives, not only the littleuns but potentially the older boys too.

It splash shows that Maurice cares for the littleuns and is prepared to look foolish in front of them to make them happy.

However, Maurice cheers up the boys by crying out, "Look at me!" and pretending to fall over. It is like homesickness because they know they are far away and won't see their family for a while, but memories of home will bring up sadness as long as they haven't faded. The littleuns cry out trying to reach their family at home, in their own sadness, but resulting in one loud message. The older boys call to stop but that could be so they won't lose control as well. Maurice is trying to keep the boys happy, by distracting them from reality even if he has to act foolishly.

When Percival Wemys Madison cries, what feelings does he unleash in the others? When Percival begins to cry many of the other boys do also, showing how much they are homesick deep down inside. These feelings of loniliness and sorrow are brought back up to the surface not only in the younger boys, but perhaps in the older boys as well. Maurice cheers the boys up by pretending to fall over and shouting "look at me!" Making the boys will laugh.

When Percival Wemys Madison cries, what feelings does he unleash in the others? When Percival begins to cry, the other boys a saddened by their own sorrows. The littuns begin to cry more than Percival and Maurice pretends to fall over to distract the boys. This scene showed how easily all the boys attitude can change by ones sadness. This possibly indicates that they are not as strong as they say they are.

I think that despite them being surrounded by other boys, they can still be lonely without the comfort of 'familiar' things like their parents and previous lives.

When Percival begins to cry when he says his address and phone number. Other littleuns also cry because it reminds them of home and how they miss it. Maurice attempts to cheer them up by acting silly and falling over. This shows how the boys on the island are maybe not as tough as they all seem.

When Percival Wemys Madison cries, what feelings does he unleash in the others? He unleashes feelings of painful nostalgia and homesickness, not just in the younger boys, but I suspect secretly in the older boys as well. I think that all though the island is a "good island", they miss their parents, their TV's and food that didn't have to be collected or caught.

When Percival Wemys Madison starts to cry, he reminds the rest of the littluns of their own sorrows and started to cry in sympathy with each other. They are reminded of how much they miss their own home, family and friends and their old life. Maurice attempts to cheer up all the boys by saying "look at me!" pg. 108 and pretends to fall over then sits on the twister and falls off again. He does it so badly that it hilarious and all the boys start laughing. Even the older boys can't help but laugh.

When Maurice cheers up the boys, it shows that he cares, unlike how he felt when he was bullying the boys earlier in the book. Perhaps the responsibility of being a 'bigun' has shaped Maurice into being kind-hearted, rather than power hungry.

When Percival Wemys Madison cries, what feelings does he unleash in the others? When Percival cries, he unleashes terrible feelings of homesickness and loneliness in the other boys that they've been fighting hard to conceal. Only a distraction from Maurice to make them forget and laugh brought their tears to a temporary still.

When Percival Wemys Madison cries, what feelings does he unleash in the others? When Percival is commanded to give his name to the group, he not only states his name, but other personal details. You can presume that his parents must have informed him to say that just in case he is in any trouble of any sort. As a reaction to this, he bursts into tears as he is reminded of his old, now incorrect information. Once this occurs, my of the other little ones start to cry as well as they are reminded of their homesickness.

Once this occurs, my of the other little ones start to cry as well as they are reminded of their homesickness. I also think they cry because they are homesick. When Percival states his details, everybody is reminded of their lives before the island. They are reminded of their parents and all little kids need their parents.
