One form of CAMELS that Peter Weir used in the Truman Show is sound, specifically the use of sonic flashback. This can be seen during scenes where Truman remembers when he was with his father on the boat when his father drowned, later haunting him in his adult life.

One example is mis on scene in the use of the newspaper in the scene while Truman is trying to track down Sylvia. Peter Weir has used acting, for example while Marlon and Truman sit on the bridge one evening and Truman tells Marlon about how he feels the world revolves around him. Viewers can tell from Marlon's body language, speech and facial expressions that what Christof is telling him through his earpiece, he is finding hard to say and that under normal circumstances he might not lie to Truman.

Peter Weir used camera angles in the final scene to show who was in control. Truman was shot at an extreme high angle to show his vulnerability, where Christof was shot in the centre of frame to show his dominance. However, when Truman was walking up the stairs he was shot at a wide angle in the centre of frame to show how he was now the one in control of his own life.

Acting has been used by Peter Weir by getting some of the actors to drop shuttle hints intended to manipulate Truman to stay in Seahaven and to change the way he thinks. An example of this is when Truman is sitting in his office on the phone and his colleague pocks his head over the wall holding the newspaper to show Truman which says "Seahaven voted number 1".

Peter Weir has used mise-en-scene, specifically in the clothing and scenery, to show how ideal Truman's world is thanks to Christof. The clothing is very neat and styled, just like the lifestyle and the town. There is nothing out of line and nothing negatively impacts the view of Sea Haven.

Peter Weir uses the CAMELS technique sound to really add to the atmosphere of the film. He used many different sound techniques, one in particular is non-diegetic sound. This is the sound he later edited in such as the soundtrack and other added music that had been added in later.

One example from TTS is in a camera angle, and specifically a crane shot. It was taken at the start as one of the lights fell from the top of the dome, onto the ground near Truman.

An example of Peter Weir using CAMELS in TTS is when Truman is meeting his dad on the bridge for the first time since the day his dad 'died' on the boat. He uses different camera techniques to show how Truman and his dad are coming together and puts emphasise on the significance of the meeting.

An example of CAMELS in The Truman Show is when Truman is reunited with his father, and different camera angles are used to show all aspects of the reunion. Some examples are medium angle shot and high angle shot.

Throughout The Truman Show the viewer sees a strong use of props or mise en scene. This mise en scene can be exemplified through the use of props to advertise different outside products on the show.

Peter weir uses mise-en-scene in the Turman show to convey different ideas. He uses the weather as a foreshadow for events- rain for bad events and sunshine for good/ordinary things

The movies high qualitiy lighting sets and ideal place for Truman to be and makes te viewers envy the beauty of Seahaven. The low key lighting creates a bright and therefore happy and lively looking place. This is just one of the strategies that is used to keep Truman on the island.

Weir used low key lighting in the Truman Show in the scene when Truman is reintroduced to his father. The dark lighting made the scene seem more dramatic and not as happy as all of the other brightly lit scenes in the movie.
