Was George justified in what he did to Lennie?

In a way, Georges actions can be justified, because there was no hope of really getting their own place, and Lennie was constantly killing things by accident and causing all this trouble that put both Lennie and George's lives in danger. I believe George thinks that it would be easier to just shoot Lennie when he ain't looking and then he can go get a life for himself.

I believe George thinks that it would be easier to just shoot Lennie when he ain't looking and then he can go get a life for himself. George's action prove that he cares enough about Lennie to kill him in a way in which it will hurt the least and he makes sure that he his happy in his last moments, something that Curley wouldn't have done.

Yes, because if George keeps Leenie around, he won't be able to think about his own life.

Yes, because he didn't want to feel how Candy did... guilty when he didn't get to kill his companion. It is a strange comparison but it works because George didn't want Curley to do it and he knew it was for the best he did it without Lennie knowing.

Yes in a way it was because goerge knew what curly was going to do to Lennie so this way Lennie is dying with a happy thought He also killed him because he was holding him back from what he wanted to do in the future Also because George didn't want Lennie to die a violent death, so he decided to make Lennie think about his dream future then kill him so he died thinking a happy thought.
